The First Lady Amai Auxilia Mnangagwa has handed over sustainable projects to the Kanyemba community.
This follows her visit to the area less than two months ago where she witnessed first- hand the challenges and aspirations of the people.
With less than two months after visiting Kanyemba, the First Lady has introduced and handed over sustainable projects to the Vadoma people.
She handed over a modern garden project, fish farming project and a solar powered borehole which is now providing tapped water to the community and Mariga Primary School.
The First Lady also officially opened a clinic at Mariga village which has brought positive change in the lives of villagers who have been travelling long distances to access health services.
Addressing the villagers, the First Lady appealed for the community to put to good use the projects and expand them to ensure sustainable development.
Getting access to tap water and a clinic came as a surprise to the villagers who least expected such developments within a short space of time.
They praised the First Lady for her big heart that has transformed their lives.
After handing over of the projects, the First Lady donated rice, maize, cooking oil and pots to the community.
Provision of clean water, basic health care and education for all is among the sustainable development goals and the once marginalised Vadoma people have managed to catch up and leap frog some rural communities in Zimbabwe in a very short space of time.
The pace which has already been set by the First Lady is testimony of the commitment by the new government to transform the lives of every Zimbabwean.
