Maureen Erasmus is an Advisory Partner in the London and Johannesburg offices of Bain & Company. She has served as a partner in the Financial Services practice since 2011, with particular leadership in the capital markets and investment banking sector.Maureen has over 25 years’ experience in financial services across Europe, Asia (including Australia), North and South America and South Africa. Across these markets, she has focused on investment banking, wealth management and private equity.

Specifically, Maureen has extensive executive level experience of corporate strategy working as an external and internal adviser on international growth strategies, cross border expansion, organizational effectiveness, shareholder value driven strategies, acquisitions, joint ventures and disposals.

Maureen currently sits on the board of Masawara, a UK publicly listed investment vehicle, and heads up the audit committee. This entity invests in strategic industries in Zimbabwe and Botswana. She also sits on the board of Maitland, a specialist global advisory and fund administration services company, where she chairs the Remuneration Committee and is a member of Audit & Risk Committee.

Before joining Bain, Maureen was the Global Head of Strategy for Merrill Lynch and the Head of European Strategy at Lehman Brothers.
